Studio Fun!!!

Because we have a few shooting assignments coming up, Gary and Gord have encouraged us to do some experimenting with lighting in the studio. Rim lighting! No... no... stop laughing, it's not dirty. Not all of them turned out quite the way I envisioned, but for a first try? Not bad. I am starting to feel more and more confident about using the studio lights and believe that I will be a MASTER within the week! MUAHAHAAA! Well... maybe not quite, but this is definitely helping me to realize the vision that I have in my head. This is what I love about photography school, we get to do stuff like this all day.

Also: I'm not certain why they're coming out so small, I resized them the same way I always do... I'm learning people!

Chelsey - Headshots

I had a great time shooting with Chelsey, a girl from Halcyon. I hadn't had much time to actually speak to Chelsey previous to the photo engagement, but I took this as a good opportunity. I learned not only that she is a theater student, but that Chelsey has an identical twin sister, she loves the farm, adores her boyfriend and when I asked her if she wanted me to remove the scar on her cheek, she said "No. It's a part of me."

Our shoot was laid back and produced some great results. Checking out the Language Institute at the University, we also decided to enjoy the (slightly) warmer weather and sunshine after only about... ohh... 16 days straight of fog.

Joanne and Randy - Engagement Photos!

It's not every day that your best friend gets married. And when it does happens, you want to do what you can to help make their day special. As it happens, I'm not doing the actual wedding photography as I will be taking the day to put on a pretty dress :) But I thought they would appreciate some free Engagement photos. And from this session, I will sashay into the invitation stationary world.
